True bcz from the start he felt it was love n had kind/loving intentions but he became overly possessive with voilence and anger. So, now he's trying to fix his faults but like he said, "I wanted to be his ocean but he's already found it" Or something close. So, ppl become who they are when pushed up to the wall n I believe he had reached that when Geum said, "let's break up" he has now finally returned back to the way he was before the kind loving guy.
