New reader here, I had to legitimately pause my reading to write this.
1. I wish shedding weight was as easy as this manhwa portrayed
2. This manhwa has called me ugly indirectly 50 times already ╥﹏╥
3. I can't get over how disproportionate the body is compared to the head. . .
╥﹏╥ yeah...... Fat Sylvia really looks like me, literally. So when I read she's ugly from the start I feel I've been attacked! So while reading this story, I feel like this normal and I'm emotionless. While reading I'm in daze and a few more "ugly" (words came) I almost dropped this but because of the tag "villainess" I still read. Then at the end aside from Sylphid, its the story of her wanting to see her mother again. That's where my emotions back until the end.
It is always a slippery slop to start up a story by introduce a person as awful and evil then go straight by saying them being overweight, followed by calling them "ugly", is the main reason for their flaws. First of, it send the message that people that aren't bless with matching the beauty standards are bad, and that being overweigh is both not attractive and bad.
I whished honestly that she had remained herself, without the literal body melt down, and showed that she could still do all those gain people loves no matter what she looked while reversing completely all the standards of beauty, badassery, kindness and strength. Because her appearance wasn't the problem, her personality was.
Also in my opinion, her round face was the cutest.
The frustration is effin REAL. Oh my lord, the amount of times I wished I could reach into my phone to kick Riftan in the balls or put him in a chokehold (he'll probably break my arms before that but ╮( ̄^ ̄*)╭....... (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸 ->Riftan) Anyways, aside from the painstaking amount of frustrations, I am glad Maxi is finally starting to be rebellious and standing up for herself.
This update was very wholesome
