Wha the hell why

After learning the countries history and how obsessed Yona’s father was with the gods/dragons got me a little pissed off at her family. On the other hand, I could “relate” to Soo Wons family and story more.

meh i kinda like both they're different but similar

I can understand why you like Soo Won, since when you think about it, he’s a really good King. And from everyone’s perspective, His ascension is the best thing that could have happened.

That said, Yona, has the best character arc I’ve ever seen in a Shoujo manga.

You have spoiled little Princess that gets chased out of her palace by assassins, after her Father’s death, only to discover that although He was a wonderful Father to her, he was a terrible King and his death was well deserved.

Not only that, She discovers through an wonderfully written journey of self discovery, as she travels through the poverty stricken land her Father failed to protect, in order to dedicate himself to her, that she is the reincarnation of a Dragon God that has come to save her Kingdom from a terrible calamity.

The way the Author has written Yona’s growth is pretty much the best written character arc I’ve come across. I think this is the only story I really hope last for many more years, just so that I can watch Yona train more, grow more and becomes the best bad ass Hiryuu she can be.

Her father was really annoying, yes, but he was much better than his bro as a king.

Soo won's father was a cold blooded tyrant that is why yona's father though unfit was a better choice

I’m not saying that Yona’s a bad character, I just don’t like her and prefer Soo Wons family over hers.

I can get that, but the way Yona’s dad treated Soo Wom just bothers me so much. I hate him so much.

Soo wons dad said that he wanted to support his bro as king tho? Like he wanted to be king but once Yona’s dad was crowned he backed off and was willing to support him but then he got murked by Yona’s dad. I just really hate Yona’s family, and feel that Soo wons family got a really unfair end, especially with how they are cursed to live a short life. （￣へ￣）
