Am I the only one that thinks the plot is all over the place? Like boom - they're in love, boom - he is gone, boom - suddenly there is magic. Nothing is explained and that is what bothers me. And are they immortal since Theia said they were born there and there didn't exist until Rain and Zebb met? Also the relationships aren't explained at all, they do not have even given any 'screen time' to those relationships to grow.

Agreed. I felt the plot was handled so poorly. Frankly it wasn't even clear why the forest king kidnapped Rain how was his power supposed to help the Forest Spirit? None of that was explained nor how they reopened the doors. Frankly I felt the Forest King should also have been punished. And the mangaka did a piss poor job in the "transition" of Rain to Theia and back. I thought Thiea had the better personality of the two while Rain comes off a little too perfect and preachy. The art was fantastic but honestly the plot was terribly done even as an adaptation from a series of books there should have been more flow.
Ok about Saliphie. She is in a depressed state in most of her close ups. She looks like a doll drained of life. Plus she has all these self destructive tendencies. And I know it's because of her up-bringing but she suffers from at least depression. I mean there must be more mental illnesses that aply to her. Moral of the story - poor Saliphie.
what else can u expect from someone who came to fully accept being born and raised solely to be given up as sacrifice in place of someone else. any person would have to be broken somewhere after that...
Saliphie in a weird sense is trying to find purpose in her life with these self destructive tenancies. As a sacrifice, she had no worth other than to die, so for her there's nothing really left to lose. She doesn't have a place in the human world anymore and she's already decided to dedicate her life to the beast king. That includes does what's best for his people. She sees as her duty to the king and his people even though there are probably much better ways of gaining the people's favor.
I just don't get the part about Shiraha's father. Why is he a full on deer in the last chapter? Did he transform for the sole purpose of being a dick and not being able to answer? I'm sorry maybe I just didn't pay attention.
I think Shiraha gave all his powers to save Sousuke, but if he did that, he would have died, so his father probably gave half his powers up in order to prevent Siraha from dying. That part of his powers probably prevented him from being able to transform into human form anymore because they are meant to look like deer when they have their powers to mate with a doe and make a successor. I think it's just easy to sometimes mix up Siraha and his father since they do look similar when he looks proper, but his dad has always been in the form of a deer since he gave up half his powers to save his only son since his wife died in order to give birth to him.

I love you, it was one of the best shoujous I've ever read, but I must be honest and say that there were too many clues so it was all over predictable. Honestly, I Saw all of that coming. But love the psychos, tho!!!
So hawt!!! But question - how come in every Free! yaoi the sex positions are the same for each character? ( like Haru is an uke, Makoto - seme ect.) Is there a definate way to determine which one is an uke and which one -a seme. I mean, I get that semes are usually more masculine and ukes more feminen, but this is a tough series where all are basicly the same kind of dude, except their personalities differ.
I think it's more of a height type of matter....I've read some Doujins where Haru is seme and Makoto is Uke
Makoto is taller than Haru. Rei is taller than Nagisa (although Nagisa is super seme @///@) Sousuke to rin....but for Haru and Rin, I think they both can be top/bottom....?

I get annoyed with seeing the same positions, with 2 people being taken but that's cuz I like double penetration. Also, I really want Rin to be uke, but that's just me. As long as Haru tops.
