Well it's so bad written or bad translated that it's quite difficult. But what I get: Chen Yuchen had crush on Luo Yi. Because he heard that Luo Yi wanted to study science major ? in the their city university, he wanted to go the same university as him although it was hard to him to get. But Luo Yi changed mind probably because he heard that Chen Yuchen is ill and he wanted to study medicine. But it'd hard for him to get on medicine major in their city and that's why he asked his teacher for recommendation for university in other city. That's what heard Chen Yuchen and felt betrayed that's why he decided go to abroad as him mom wanted.
And now he heard from this guy (god knows who) that he studied medicine in their city. (in other chapter Luo Yi said that he barely got to medicine, probably he still thought that Chen Yuchen would go their city's university or something).
It's so hard to get everything, really.
