Japanese manga authors in the horror genre are some of the most amazing story tellers. I mean they can combine cute with grotesque and still make me smile and laugh. Give this a chance because it is a really good metaphor about living.

It started as shounen ai so I thought I wasn’t going to have to worry about it with this one, but then I saw all the comments recently. I read like the first 20 chapters and then put it on hold til it updated more. I was going to read it now that it says completed and now I don’t know. I have read stuff with SA before and pushed past it for ones with good plot or they have a lot of ones where they get SA’d once and they have a normal consenting relationship after that one time. I just don’t understand. I don’t know why it’s normalized in bl’s. I guess maybe some people fetishized it or some authors use it as to show the horrors of abusive relationships. But it’s become so common place that yoai with two consenting men is rare these days.
The labeling on manga go isn't very good and they need to add a label for SA. I have come across many surprises while reading, but as long as the story line is good I just push past it. In regards to normalized, it depends in who the author is and where they live. The definition of SA where you live may be different than where they live, so it will reflect in how they present/handle certain topics. Truthfully, I just think most of these authors have a R4pe kink and these stories where never meant to be mainstream, but social media brought a population of people who honestly should not be reading/entering these heavy or dark spaces. Most of these stories are straight p0rn , and have been for a LONG time, and should be treated as such. Unfortunately, other than reading the summary or comments, you are doing everything you can. It's up to the website itself to fix its labeling issue.
Stories of this theme and genre are always surprising with how well written and good they actually are. It was sweet, funny, and bittersweet. The art is amazing and the characters are adorable even with the darkish themes!

Maybe I'm weird, I don't read this and try to relate it to my reality. I have the ability to separate a cartoon from the real world. Crazy activities in manga don't bother me. IDK so I read it and enjoyed it, but I don't walk outside my house and then go "OMG a RED DEMON is going to fly through my window and engage in sexual activity and invite her sister, what will I do?!" Like come on LOL.
Anyone notice that all these Racial groups have so much beef with Black people, which most have NEVER met and only get information about through white owned media? I mean they seem to hate Black people more than the people who actually commit crimes against them? Was it black people who dropped bombs on Japan, or perpetrated the rape of nanking? I just can't take these people seriously.

Its has all the silly cliches and rushed storyline troupes you could ask for. Random female character love interest that makes no sense, poor fight scenes where people stand around and talk, typical shallow minded people, etc. Mediocre at best.
the fl isnt random at all... especially since she shows up almost at the very beginning and started building friendship with the mc. Same with the fighting scenes, idk maybe u expected pictures to suddenly start moving, but its good??? Idk what u meant by people stand around and talk.. do u mean the students or bystanders??? What, do u want them to start risking their lives and start fighting, not building up the storyline at all, completely leaving the readers in utter confusion?
Woah... sorry but, i really disagrees with you hehe. The plot is good and how the characters are having interest with the mc is natural in a way. And the fighting scene is already detailed. Chop chop, they are not just standing and talking when they are fighting. do you just want a mime play when they are fighting? Where's the fun~? Also, i'm not interested in romance when it comes to action genre manhwas, but this one is an exception because their romance isn't cringe and the fl is NOT random. She is where she is, if you understand the story. i could see that the story line is pretty good, and the mc's personality is interesting as well. Ehem... Have a nice day (⌒▽⌒)
I get being annoyed at the rape/smut (even though its been like this for years and they don't have any plans to stop writing it), but the setting is in the underworld with demons and spirits...so you sound stupid complaining about the violence and lack of humanity.
Yes it's stupid to complain about violence in the story but it's even more stupid to believe there's noting wrong with how 90% of the yaoi is ending up with the rapist and victim.
Before you get me wrong, I don't find it stupid for people to be upset at the toxic relationships. I find it stupid when people complain about aspects of the story or dynamics of the characters when it's already been explained. The "man" is an Oni and a mean one at that, so it doesn't take many braincells to determine this is NOT going to be a nice love story.
Personally, I love a violent action packed story, but I can definitely do without the rape and it's completely possible for Korean authors to write good stories without it.
