Ines and Carcel are co-protagonists so the story is told in both of their perspectives. It’s just that Ines has more issues so her perspective can sometimes be longer.
For example, the beginning of the manhwa starts with Carcel’s perspective followed by Ines perspective. The wedding is from Carcel’s perspective then switches to Ines’s perspective on the wedding night prep. Then it switches back to Carcel’s perspective in the wedding night chamber.
This is how the story continues by switching between their perspectives until the very end of the story.

It's actually quite confusing for now but it's super cute even though the seme was very possessive in the original novel that the uke got transmigrated into (or their past live, it's still not fully shown yet) BUT I RECOMMEND IT. I myself is not a fan of dark romance either but this one has just a bit of them (not extreme at all) and is sooo good with fluffy scenes.
Also the uke is not the typical dumb innocent one, he's super goofy and quick witted
