Let's say kazuha is indeed the host..... yuuma is kinda selfish for not wanting rei to disappear. Because evey alter is born out of a traumatic experience so in a way, he does not want kazuha to get better. Maybe they can work things out but yuuma needs to love both of them equally because damnnnn even i don't wanna live if someone i love, cannot accept the me that i actually am. And it makes sense if kazuha is the host because rei is a strong, tough alter that always come out to shield kazuha from anything that could scar him even more.
Not every alter is born of a traumatic experience! Alters can form at any point in the lifetime of a system and are often created to help fulfil a need! Less fully formed ones are often called fragments, they might hold memories, they might just ensure that their system's (and their) body has a shower in the morning, and that is their whole role in the system. Minor, but vital, and not from a trauma! ^.^ Fully formed alters can also form for similar reasons! One or two alters might carry no trauma and they might get their system through school days! It varies from system to system but it is often highly unlikely that every alter in a system is born of a traumatic experience ^.^
