I think Alex died to give birth to another monster. I think Clark really has psychopathic tendencies (the cat at the beginning, how he seems to be always indifferent, how he enjoys collecting 'tokens' like his blackmail documents) but the death of the doctor triggered him, I think Clark taunted Alex on purpose to get a glimpse of what it's like to be a serial killer, he was learning how to be one, I think Clark wants to be a serial killer, by manipulating Alex to kill the one thing that's keeping him human (meaning the doctor, Clark probably truly loves him), because he can't do it himself. That's just my two cents.
Loved the art even at the beginning. I love the disproportions. It felt like 'cafe art' (dunno what that means but that's how it felt to me), like the art in "The Triplets of Belleville" (look it up it's a good movie). But to me the art felt raw and original, the improvements are impressive as well, it didn't really blot out the artist's originality just sharpened the edges.
I'll just wash my eyeballs with refined holy water, beg for God's forgiveness and forget I ever read this thing (⊙…⊙ )
