Yes, they were written exactly like this. The plot wanted to show that his fucked up personality made his brother who has some kind of mental disorder awake his criminal side. Not saying it was deserved whatsoever, it's just a cause and a consequence. Not every consequence is proportional to the cause.

he disliked the younger brother because he was literally forced onto him. just because his parent got married to his, everyone expected him to like his new brother. and obviously something is seriously wrong about the younger brother and I think our mc noticed it before anyone else.

Its insane how its been 50 chapters and the plot barely progressed, we can sum up everything that happened in: woojin hypnotized wooyeon, they fucked (noncon), wooyeon started dating his senpai anyway, woojin got mad and hypnotized the senpai and a random mf and made them fuck, wooyeon saw it, wooyeon burnt woojin's hand, their father got sick.
