Pleasantly surprised with this one! Good art and the story is interesting.
I’ve been seeing this Manhua for weeks but stories on vampires and wolves have repelled me, no thanks to twilight. Lol. I liked how light and funny everything started - from the chibi art to the premise of an overworked half vampire who just wants to skip work most mornings. Same hardworking half vampire needs to fuck so bad to nourish his already frail body. Unlike pure vampire who consume blood, he needs semen (?) to get by. And he needs it quick and in great supply.
Enter the food source: the boss
First, I liked the fact that despite being mighty sexy, no one’s harping on the seme’s perfection (e.g. best catch/most eligible bachelor ever). To his staff, he’s just the director. To our uke, he’s a slave driver who happens to bury him under mountains of workload. Yes, he can be an inconvenience, but all boss are more often than not. In a universe where vampires secretly walks among us, seme boss is relatively harmless right?
Err, not quite.
The seme... is pretty crazy. He shows signs of a classic yandere. I mean, he’s obviously crushing on the uke. (He was cute and wholesome in the first chapter albeit, creepy because of the coffee thing.) However, he goes zero to a hundred after learning that the uke is looking to get some sexy action. Watch him turn into a stalker, master power player and a completely obsessed full time lover/sugar daddy. Vampires are often presented as overly protective of their beloved due to fear of losing them. But seme is a human!
Conjectures, Questions and Possible Spoilers:
To save Uke, seme injected himself with some vampire boss blood. While he seems normal now, is it possible that the process to turn him into a vampire has been initiated? The transfusion definitely would have altered his DNA. If the boss blood is powerful enough to change half vampires into pure bloods, turning a mortal into a half vamp is not entirely unlikely.
Uncle vampire is the new boss. This leaves the possibility of both seme and uke turning into full bloods open. I’m guessing that the real enemy threat - the one responsible in all the human hunting - Will challenge uncle vampire’s leadership. He needs to ensure that their existence remains a secret but obviously, someone wants them exposed.
I’m so intrigued by the Uke’s guardian and the guy who loves him. Obviously, uncle vampire is/was in love with uke’s dad.... was it unrequited? Was the dad a half vampire himself or human? Why did the former Nux owe him and the guy who loves him a sample of his blood? What happened?!
Okay, so excited for more.

Twilight disappointedly destroyed the sexiness of vampire romance lol (personally).
Love your points! Seems like the uncle loves doyoon's dad and so forced him to drink nux blood, but instead he chose to die than drink (?) -- based on their convos, not sure as well.
Another point of sexiness in this that may I add to your thoughts is the seme's heart-thumping tears of love-- it's not everyday I get to read series where tough, possevive/obsessed semes cry for uke.

My biggest concern from yaoi troupes (apart from rape/manipulation/abuse of power and authority etc especially against minors) is how easy for the martyr (usually the uke) to forgive the freaking asshole partner (usually the seme) after a simple hug/iloveyou/I’m sorry. They simply sweep whatever grave ‘indiscretions/misbehavior’ committed under a rug, riding towards the sunset to live their happily ever after.
I couldn’t find satisfaction because their is no actual repentance or justice delivered. There is no clean resolution of issues between characters.
But this one here is different.
We all know how it ends. Death, regret and sorrow - all these are inevitable in this masterpiece tragedy.
We all know the uke is going to die in the arms of someone who loves him dearly, while the seme will have no chance for redemption. However, we still read on, crying buckets for every chapter.
Knowing that justice will be served makes me relish every moment of pain, hurt and sadness caused by the seme to the uke.
I also like how the uke, after deciding that enough is enough, truly stood by his decision. Sometimes, knowing that you gave it all makes accepting failure easier. It also frees you from regrets.
Late is too late, unfortunately for the seme. I pray that the good doctor and the seme would have a chance to be together in their next life.
My mind is a little too fried from crying. I might have to edit this back. Sorry for the lack of coherence.

i totally agree with you. i've been putting off reading this manhwa because i already knew how it would end. yet here i am all sad and teary by 3am in the morning.
honestly not all manhwa's have to end with smiles. this one especially teaches a good lesson. you never know how amazing, beautiful and great what you have is untill you loose it.
am glad the seme has no chance of redemption, he's newly found heart problem will help him sort that out.
though everyone only faces the seme, am pretty sure many people also said their good ridden's to that side chic of a thing who go hit by a car(the guts he had to approach the main uke, i was so pissed)... boi am i GLAD!!! bitches ought to get stitches too!!!

I love Saya! I just want to hug him and protect him against his evil classmates. Arghh.
I love how strong and pure Saya is. He is so broad minded in accepting and forgiving seme’s initial reaction to his body. Despite his feelings and longing for love, he tried to move on, never imposing or hating anyone..., I’m gushing.
I also like the seme. He was honest and not mean- he genuinely cares about Saya. I guess it’s expected that he needs a little more time processing his feelings.
I also could relate to his poker face. More often than not, I’m accused of having a RBF.
I never had a fuck buddy. It’s not that I’m morally against it, not really. I just never had the time and I’ve always found the set up too risky and problematic that I’ve long concluded it’s not a path for me. It can be convenient- and that’s the problem. It can easily lull you into thinking and feeling of having someone - when you don’t. Girls also tend to feel more attached after sex- it’s something unavoidable due to chemical reaction.
I’ve seen friends relished the initial thrill of the hunt to the eventual break down after catching feelings for someone who just can’t love them back. It’s sad how they need to Pretend not to feel for the other person due to fear of losing them. I’ve also witnessed how they tear themselves apart, doubting themselves when their fuck buddy rejects their inevitable confession.
Reading this story is nice though. I’ve always been a sucker for happy endings.
