Kay was an undercover fbi agent working as a fake money laundering guy and he employed yoon and had sexual relationship with him and fell for him( making him permanent employee and asking him to run away to place where no one could find them) . Apparently he was trying to arrest vasya but someone (maybe vasya) tried to kill him but he's alive now
