Polygamous is more of the old historical type where kings could marry multiple women, so similar to one person being the center and the rest that person chooses.

Polyamorous is done by mutual consent by ALL parties. Meaning if there’s 3 people in a relationship, all of them love each other, not just one person getting attention by two people. If you can comprehend that two people can love each other equally, the same can be done by 3 people. And it’s usually a relationship that is closed and doesn’t let new people into the relationship randomly just cause one person wants to. If you can love your parents equally, then that already shows you that you can have love for more than one person lmao.

Open relationship is like a couple wanting to be with each other but also wanting the freedom to see others randomly. Just for fun. A lot of swingers couples are known to be in open relationships.
