Literally the whole premise and plot of ONS is dumb, for me, the only enjoyable part is.....YuMika. (for those who disagree, that's fine)
The multiple ways their bond has been shown is so beautiful. The way Mikaela has a whole lil city for his desires, with his loved ones nestled in the heart....the way he worked so hard to protect it because "They're precious." The way Yu somehow heard him cry for help, and no one believes him about it because it should be impossible.
I almost wish Yunoa was a lil stronger so that I could feel a lil torn over it instead of annoyed at it. To me, first off, the whole Mahiru being like "You're a girl so you Will Fall In Love" and Mahiru and Shikama being like "Get horny and you will be powerful" made me feel so gross.
There are a few Yunoa moments, but they don't hit hard. Maybe bc I'm biased towards YuMika but like...even w the bias YuMika quantifiably just have Way More Moments.
IDK what the author is trying to tell us about love. Are they going for "OMG friendship so strong #brosbeforehoes" or are they going for "they gay." or even a "This relationship is...BEYOND love and friendship"
A girl character falling in love doesn't make her a bad or lame character but I think it could be done better. Throughout the series Shinoa has blushed at Yu a bunch, touched his hand a bunch, and had one good hug w him (nagoya) but most of those moments weren't that impactful if I remember correctly. It's like that common writing advice, "show, don't tell."
Ofc, idk how much longer ONS will keep going. maybe the author will use the remaining chapters to improve Yunoa's dynamic. Even if they do, I'm still rooting for YuMika all the way lmao. If you're a Yunoa shipper, good for you, I'm glad you can see them more positively than I can

Idk what to think. Ik that the brother is like that bc the author made him like that. But also he is a minor. Idk i guess he needs therapy af. I remember considering this story a year or two ago but i knew i wasnt ready. Now that I’ve read more i felt like i could read this lol.
Im glad the centerpiece of the story was a gentle loving relationship.
