Granted, those years he didn't know how FL was mistreated smth not he can take back, at least he regrets and is looking at her more closely now.

I love the way magic manifests in this series. It's not because of bloodline, but pure extremely high emotions (aka anyone can get, but only through certain circumstances, if I'm not wrong). So FL can be op all she wants, but it can be through luck and practice. Though I love how one of her firsts thoughts after learning she has magic, if she can turn back time to stop the mom from dying and giving berry a better life from childhood.
