I wanted to read it, but at the same time I'm afraid to read it. Cause I'm fat and I'm afraid that after I read it I'll back to reality and realized that real life is nothing like this Manga. That's my biggest fear.
I cant say i know how you feel because i am not big don't like the word fat. But some of us small women have the opposite problem where you to lose weight I would like to keep my weight the same just for one week and i would feel like I can do anything. My problem is i cant keep my weight the same. I eat all the junk food love it, eat all my meals, is not doing sport, love chips but i have the body of a child and i am 29 year old. if i get sick i end up in hospital every time. I get sick because of my body's weight. Did not put it here to make you feel bad just want you to know skinny is not all that good as it sounds like on TV and movies. it can suck just as bad.
PS Just a thought. imagine you go to a restaurants on date and the waiter bring you a kiddies menu or call the cops and your date nearly arrested because of how you look. Well it happened to me.
I can kind of understand Baka-Gin feelings, but not completly. I'm still deciding wether or not I'm going to read this manga.
I'm neither a big woman nor a small one. I'm rather average, size M/L (european size). But I used to be a bit heavier and was sometimes bullied (and they used that and other things to bully me). It still somewhat affects me now (especially about my self-esteem and self-confidence). Baka-Gin is afraid reading this manga will make her realize just how different reality is from it. I'm afraid it will throw me back to those days and those feelings.
But I actually wanted to tell you something about your situation.
You pointed out that you don't gain any weight even though you don't do sports. But maybe you should do some exercise.
Exercise is great for heavy people who want to loose weight because it will help burn all the excess fat. However, it is also excellent for people who want to GAIN weight, and put some meat on their bones. Excercise will help you gain muscle. With the right excercise routine you can have more muscle (and loose that body of a child you talke about) without looking like a macho (yes, because I doubt you want to look like Schwazeneger). Also, excercise boosts your immune system.
To help you gain some muscle you should also include lots of protein in your diet along with the exercise. The protein can be either animal or vegetal. Meat, fish, eggs, yoghurt, milk, soy, peas, tofu, beans, rice, ... You can find lists online. I don't really recommend those protein supplements often advertised. They're more appropriate for people who actually want to build a massive amount of muscle an spend their days lifting weights at the gym. And sometimes there are supplements that are foun to be dangerous for your health.
I don't know you or your exact situation, but here's my advice: 1. start doing some exercise (even if it's just some light exercise - probably better if you don't usually do any). 2. have a balanced diet and add more protein (I'm not saying to quit junk food or anything else, I myself find it delicious and eat itmore often than I should)
You can go to professionals to help you come up with an excersize plan and lists of protein rich food. You can also just browse the net looking for already made work-out plans and tutorials, and the food lists.
It won't work right away, it takes some time to start seeing the results. If you don't like the first work-out plan, just try another one. I once tried going to the gym but I just didn't have any motivation, I paid for around 2 maonths but only went there a couple of times (the biggest waist of money in my life). Some time later I tried kickbox. Now, several months after, I go to at least 3 trainings per week.
Those are just some tips that I hope you'll find usefull. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
PS (⊙…⊙ )That's so awfull. I can't even imagine that.
