Lmaooo I do read it quite frequently at that but the point is he’s forced and have feelings towards someone doesn’t always equate to love he he has all these complicated emotions that he doesn’t know how to process because he still has resentment for the way he was treated how he felt like he was played and yeah he could be falling back in love with him, but to live your life, five years without somebody hiding from them and then denying them when they do come for you definitely doesn’t exactly spell out love there and my point was that he’s not heads over heels with them. Just to be clear, they made a contract marriage with the condition of seme taking care of Siyeon's medical condition ┐(´ー｀)┌, right? So isn't MC already doing his part by marrying him? The contract didn't really specify that MC had to act lovey dovey with Seme, so I don't really understand that reason. And yes, let's actually go back to the part where MC was away from seme for FIVE years, MC was able to live just okay for five years EVEN though he's marked by seme┐(´ー｀)┌ soooooooo, that means he isn't really controlled by the mark, right? Bcuz if he was being forced to love seme bcuz of the "mark", he wouldn't be able to live without him ya know?( At least IMO), if I'm not wrong, seme once said that for the past five years, he was suffering with his rut or his pheromone stability bcuz he already had a partner he had "marked", which was MC but he ran away. So what I'm understanding here is that MC is not actually being forced or in any way being influenced by the "mark" to act like he's in-love with Seme, cuz during the five years of separation of the two, MC didn't really expressed that he needed to be with Seme even though he was marked. So rn, MC being in love (that's the way I see it) with Seme is happening in his own jurisdiction, he's not in anyway being influenced by the mark, it's the lingering feelings that he had back when they were still in college, and somehow those lingering feelings are developing into genuine feelings for seme.

And I'm not specifically saying that this particular omega is bad or something? It's the plotline that's making me have doubts in this story.

No, I am not trying to argue and no I never said that he hast to act like he’s in love i get what yall are saying that he’s giving in to easy but he’s backed into a corner thinking he’s in no position to fight and I said that the mark and the pheromones have control over a lot of his actions and I don’t see when his actions are ever lovey-dovey. It’s always in reaction to what the seme is doing the seme is literally the only person he can be with bc he’s marked and recessive he only reacts to his alpha pheromones. He only comes into heat because his alpha pheromones his mark makes it hard for him to deny his alpha pheromones, and that’s how the seme is controlling him sexually he’s literally being dragged along for the ride. The seme is the one that’s doing all of these things and he’s just reacting to it whether it’s physiological biological it’s a reaction he’s being forced sexually, mentally, physically, politically, legally, financially into a relationship with someone he had past feelings for and still has a physical relationship with not to mention for his sons protection it’s almost quite literally textbook spousal abuse deliberately inflicted through threats and love bombing he’s developing feelings but it’s very Stockholm syndrome coded he realizes the implications of their past, his feelings and how he’s now being treated/manipulated but it’s hard bc he’s not trying to be swayed but can sense himself wavering by falling into old patterns

Like i get you’re point yaoi has some crazy and controversial plot line and horrendous character development but corrosion is not the same as reciprocation and especially throughout these tropes a lot of these are covered in abusive or toxic or sexually assault based relationships and this is all of that. If you don’t want to have a sexual relationship with somebody, but they have the power to give you an aphrodisiac that you can’t turn down that’s indicative of sexual assault forcing you into a relationship so that they could get what they want. That’s manipulation. Threatening you financially legally, and with the safety of your child, that’s abuse and I get what you’re saying that all these tropes come through many things but that doesn’t make it better. To me It sounds very much like victim blaming like I’m saying the situation is very much giving battered spouse syndrome/Stockholm sometimes with things like this you don’t even realize when you’re playing the part so well that it’s not even pretend anymore
