That's true, I never bled on my first time and the pain wasn't intense. I know for me the pain was about a 4/10 and I think it was because I was well lubricated and my boyfriend also used a condom, plus he was really gentle and careful with me. Honestly speaking during the first time after the initial pain wore off it was more of a numb feeling. But anyways as the member below stated you should never have sex unless you're truly ready and always use protection. The simple answer to the bleeding or not, is if the hymen is already broken or not. That can happen from various reasons.

Hi there. Well, about first times: some people bleed, some people don't.

Blood comes from the breaking of small blood vases inside yourself, and it happens when penetration happens too forcefully.

People think it's because of the hymen, but the hymen is actually thin... also not every person breaks it in the first penetration. Thus, some girls are even born without it. Hence why the movement to stop saying that hymen = virginity.

Barring some situations where it becomes resistant, it should not be really painful to break it.

Like what the other replies are saying the bleeding happens when you don't lubricate properly and when you're tense. My first time was horrible, I bled a lot. I don't really remember the details, it was over 10 years ago, but I remember it was good.
