"Intersex" is a medical condition characterized by atypical development of the body that under normal circumstances would result in unambiguously male or female anatomy. Misplaced "intersex" organs are an aberration from the typical development pathway. They are underdeveloped and exhibit limited, if any, functionality. It is the set of organs corresponding to the correct sex of "intersex" people that retain the potential for functionality. I'm sure intersex people wouldn't appreciate their condition being co-opted for the purpose of advancing a gender identity ideology
Authorial intent is not a determinant of a character's identity. We have the agency to question and analyze an author's claims. Interpreting omegas as female is a legitimate, valid reading of omegaverse stories
