I hate the omegaverse too and the whole entire concept. I feel like everything is just a horny mess and it's mainly just rape. They aren't doing it because the want to, their doing it because it's basically wired into them. I don't want to watch two animals breaking the damn bed I want LOVE. I was going to pass on this one even though I loved the story because of the omega verse concept but I'm happy I actually read it. I like the characters and the omega verse isn't really a big part of it. I can understand you not reading it because I am very sick of it myself (One of my most hated concepts actually).
Agree, Omegaverse concept is really problematic. Heat, pheromones, bonding, pregnancy and class systems (the idea of discriminating someone bc of their gender is very disgusting) but they romanticize it and made we think that everything will be fine if the mc met his soulmate which happens to be a big strong man bruh.
It's clear that omega is just women in male disguise and to make it worse, they add animal reproductive behavior to make the characters loose control of themselves (to create situations). but there are a lot more verse like cakeverse or sentinelsverse which also pressure two people to make interactions with each other.

I think the next time since the very beginning they ever even really mention it was like 100 chapters in. And only another 100 or so chapters later anything really omegaverse related even happens.
There is never anything non consentual happening in the story and the omegaverse trope isn't even used as an excuse here for them to develop sexual tension.

I feel bad for the author/artist. She's doing her best for us, and her "fans" are pelting her or her work with rotten fruit and vegetables. She deserves better. Her gorgeous, dreamy art style transports me, the reader, to the wild world of the story. She captures the grace of her male characters, making morally grey scenes still appear intensely beautiful. Her characters are complex and flawed. Dan is indecisive, stuck and overly anxious. Jaekyung is aggressive, pushing himself past his limits and reaching an emotional breaking point. He snaps easily and gets frustrated over the smallest things. Or withdraws completely, and nothing has an effect on him. Both instances showcase trauma
Dan and Jaekyung are two traumatized men that I hope will find love and comfort in each other's arms
