I think you should strongly assure him that you're completely fine with his sexuality, and that you'll be as supportive as he wants, but don't try to force him out of his room or anything. It takes a lot of courage to come out and he's probably just trying to come to terms with that. Just makes sure he knows that it's completely okay and you understanding that, and give him some space.

Go check up on him if he stays in room for more than a day. Don't force him to talk but let him know that you support him. He may be feeling very isolated or abnormal.

I would probably have a little talk with him saying how i support him and his decisions, have a deeper connection between the two of us and just watch over him as much as i can. I mean, it takes a lot of courage to come out and to lock himself in his rooms means that he isnt really prepared for the family's reaction.
Try ur best to be in his shoes right now. What he needs is support and family love, even if ur parents don't approve, if its only ur acceptance (his sister) then its ok.

Well, I don't know the details of you family affairs but there must be some reason for him, to lock himself in his room like that. If it was a fight & he was upset about it then give him time. Later go and talk to him. But if it wasn't a fight but him coming out naturally & he's depressed/sad then go and talk to him now. Let him know it doesn't matter if he's gay. The fact that he's your brother will never change & you'll fully support him from now on.

I'm really close to my brother and his 'coming-out' came out of nowhere so it was surprising. I was kinda stressed because I didn't know what to do.
I think some people at his school (he's in a different school from me: Junior high)might be bullying him about it, but I'm not sure. He doesn't really want to tell our mother, so I'll just try to support him.
