'Cause when he went back in time, he said that she was pretty and they got so close to each other and when he went back in time again and met her, he cried and was so happy to see her again..(づ￣ ³￣)づ but nooooo that had to have stopped because of the teacher trying to kill him..like are you kidding me? (╬￣皿￣)凸 and then time skip to 15 years later and shes married to that guy that looks like a girl..（￣へ￣ ) ...disappointed man..

Honestly I thought he was crying because someone he knew wasn't dead. It doesn't have to be romance, but relief she's alive like the relief he felt seeing his mother alive the first time he jumped back. He wasn't going to jump his mom, he was just happy she was alive. Not all strong emotions towards someone have to be romantic in nature. Don't forget the real reason he went back in time was to save his mother's life, and he realized the only way to do it was to save others lives. This story is more, I feel, about platonic love and familial love than romantic love. Romance is there, but it's put more in the backseat compared to everything else that's happening.
Also, consider, they were 'together' from February to March. This is long enough to decide you like someone, but maybe not 'love' enough to devote yourself to them for fifteen years when you've just left an abusive familial relationship and you're trying to find out who you are apart from your abusive parent (they were in elementary school, too. If she waited I would have called bull and it would have been too out of character for Kaya and her situation and made this aspect of the manga feel too typical). Honestly that Kaya moved on and found happiness was the best ending for me for her. The story impresses the idea that the greatest reward from saving someone isn't what they give you, but that they can live out their lives happy whether they're with you or apart from you (though in this case he did get something, his mother is alive and his friends supported him even after he fell into a coma and everyone is happy, Satoru is happy with that and not in a bitter 'I guess I have to be happy' way. He seems genuinely happy).
I do understand it, though. The frustrations people have. As readers of manga, comics, and watchers of movies we expect to see the main character 'rewarded' with things we want them to have. Love we think they deserve and the respect of everyone, ect. But in this case, especially in this case where Kaya spent the majority of her life as an object to her mother to be beaten up for her own satisfaction and frustration it's better and less... ick that she's not 'rewarded' to the hero just because he saved her life and held her hand for less than two months. And that the 'reward' is her life is saved so she can do what she wants with it. PHEW, SORRY WENT ON TOO LONG LOL. I was just really impressed with the story progression. But I respect your feelings, lol.

I understood why and how things got the way they did in the manga and I wouldve called bull too if Kayo waited 15 years for Satoru to wake up, but honesty I just really liked them together..and in the end he ends up with Airi anyways even if they left it open to interpretation
I got you :). Like, I thought it was a super cute relationship, too. And I appreciated it, but I guess for me my mind was blown with how well the mangaka handled it. Like a manga where the girl who is saved doesn't wait for all eternity for someone who might never wake up? It was impressively realistic and I liked it better than I liked the thought of them together at the end.

Be honest, I kinda forward megumi with Souma because of their partnership. But, I do love when chemical between Erika and Shoma. So, I'm not sure that I'm stuck in middle for who I should hooray for.
