i can’t understand the chapters that aren’t official…please, whoever has the official chapters please have mercy and upload them. i really want to understand what they’re saying but reading the dialogue is giving me a headache…Why would you let me have a sip of such high quality translations before thrusting me back into the sea of garbled english..
the story has slightly stagnated in my eyes, but the art has seriously improved. Not to say it was bad before, not at all. It’s just that it was more cartoony, and had its moments where it looked goofy. Now the art is some reeeeaal eye candy with its own unique flair. Yet as i type all of this, i’m kind of worried maybe they changed the artist and i’m being rude typing all this…Oh well!
However the story has kind of lost its “personality” in my opinion. before, you could really feel the desperation within vinchen. all odds were stacked against him yet he persevered at all costs. his slowly necrotising body, his limitations within using traits, his lack of knowledge on the modern world, the many unknown forces trying to keep him down in the dirt. Yet now… he’s just kind of bland. maybe because he hasn’t really developed much as a character? but these aren’t exactly the type of stories to expect a good plot from
julian is a very weird character, in that his position within the story is never firm. is he also a main character alongside vincent? or is he just mean to be an overpowered companion to help save vincent in whatever situations he can’t handle? i can’t tell, and it doesn’t help that it feels like julian is becoming less and less relevant in the story. the idea of him ascending into a minor god is literally so damn cool and yet we barely hear anything about it… i guess that confirms for me that he isn’t a true protagonist alongside vinchen. feels like a waste of a very very intriguing character
and lastly, i wish kajin was mentioned more. i’m struggling to put it into words, but kajin has wronged vinchen in such a grave and deep way that honestly, it completely ruins my immersion when i see vincent just chill with the near literal reincarnation of kajin. how do you expect me to believe that vinchen is fine when before he shook at the mere remnant of kajin? i don’t understand how he is able to treat mini kaji (sorry i forgot his name) as just some minor pest out of nowhere. it’s such a huge reach that my suspension of disbelief is completely shattered
all in all, it just pains me to see a story with so much potential be thrown away in order to just be the same copy and paste rags to riches op mc reincarnation manwha that plagues this site, and also just the webtoon community in general. it could’ve been one of the greats if there was just a little more compassion in those who created it
no actual justice is provided to the victim, the psycho guy just kills them all. this stuff gets boring after the millionth time of reading it. The art is beautiful but the writing is really lacking, i wish i could read more well written revenge mangas where there’s actual planning behind the revenge, the characters aren’t comically evil to the point of being boring,
If you want a good bullying revenge manga, I’d recommend to read Shark. The art style is wonky at first but it does get good and also the plot really makes up for it. I’d rather read smth where the art style is carried by the plot rather than the plot being carried by the art style.
You might’ve already read it, but if not I highly encourage you to check it out. https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/shark/
