Usually as a courtesy, most uploaders would wait days, sometimes weeks, after the author updates before uploading here. But you can probably let the admins know that the author is aware. Whether the work gets taken down or not is up to the admins.

And did you mean that series you’re asking about is is 100% free on Tapas? Because Tapas itself is NOT 100% free.
You can try asking mangago to remove the series, I know some pretty hot button ones have been removed. I guess it really will come down to how messy things get whether or not it will be taken down.
