Just some advice to the translator, edit them to avoid clashing with the main text. From the comments, it seems like they interrupt the flow of reading. In manga translations, the notes are noticeably smaller and placed in particular corners of the pages. You can also flip them vertically and place them along the margins. Begin them with something like 'T/N (translator notes):' so that the readers can differentiate it from the main text.
