But to me, Satake is the main character of this series.

But this work is by far the best (or one of the best) from Sensei's body of work. Wow what a rollercoaster. Been here since the prequel about Yumi. Crying a bit right now.

I wish this gets an anime like Yarichin. It'll be more of a challenge to translate this to the screen though.

More importantly, she's being spoilt, protected, and almost controlled by the kingdom's leaders and institutions. I think we need to keep those factors in mind. From the comments it seemed like she did something so heinous to the ML, when it was actually just a general sense of cluelessness and an ignorant remark about his job. Yeah, teens will say dumb shit. The problem is when adults around her continue to enable it. Let's hope she gets the opportunity to learn and be better. No need to advocate for her murder like a twitter mob or something lol.

This story is ridiculous in many ways. Better to avoid taking the plot, characters, and setting so seriously. Just go with the flow. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~

I see this notion going around that sex workers and AV actors are not human beings who can maintain boundaries. Yeah it may seem different because of the nature of their occupation but that doesn't mean they don't deserve the kind of love like of those who aren't sex workers. One comment has even equated the love life of sex workers to practicing polygamy. That's like saying movie actors are all polyamorous because they pretend to love other people on screen.

The story and characters were just not it for me though. :/

He has a very low opinion of himself. His self-worth is always put into question. He had a difficult childhood. Years of holding bitter thoughts and experiences would make him disregard the importance of his own birthday and that treatment would seep to his attitude towards the birthdays of others. I'm not defending what he failed to do for Masato's birthday which is the bare minimum. I'm just trying to understand. Personally, I also don't feel like celebrating my birthdays owing to my low self-esteem.
