Ok, so I knew it was omegaverse and read it anyway because art style is pretty, but I just can't anymore
Why omegaverse? It's basically patriarchy with extra steps. Since alpha and omega are called "genders" I can't help but think of them as man and woman. All that talk about how alpha can truly fall in love only with omega and always is superior to them, yo wtf. If you like it that much just say it "oh, you see, he's a sub bottom, he prefer to be raw fucked", why make from it gender you were born with and can't change? It's a story about two dudes which already means that sex/gender doesn't have to determine what you prefer - women don't have to fall for men and omega don't have to fall for alpha... I mean,,, I wish.
Why transfer heteronormativity to a gay relationships?
There are so many mangas that could be so much better if only it wasn't omegaverse and constant raping, like bottoms' consent would spoil the story.
If someone could explain it to me nicely-
*I'm talking about omegaverse manga in general now, not necessarily referring to this one
it's sick, basically rape
Forcing him even though he said he didn't want to? But, heyy, hE LIkeD ThaT in the end. Excellent plot, can't stop reading. And such a psychological analysis, we love people who rape us! Sorry but I can't understand how someone can just ignore this and enjoy the rest.
Rape is far too often used in this type of manga as a factor for the main characters to fall in love. I used to turn a blind eye to it, but it's really too much and I have the feeling that some of you started to treat it like a normal way of building relationships ⊙.☉
Sis, this isn't even about them being a couple, their whole dynamic is meant to be toxic. The plot is about petty revenge, blaming others for ehat you lack and dragging down others from their graces.
It's people like you that always expect a couple just because the characters happen to be gay. Because guess what, sometimes people write psychological horror with diversity. If you want a couple maybe horror isn't the best genre-
do you go to other psychological manga and bitch about the murder, gore, violence and other morally wrong stuff? the problem with rape in bl is that it's sugarcoated and the author expects us to think it's romantic which clearly isn't the case with this one. the whole point of the story is that their relationship is toxic af, if you didn't check the tags before reading that's your fault so don't come here and be like OmG WhY DoeS ThiS haVe A HiGh RaTiNg NoW I GoTtA iNSuLt PeOpLe wHo FiNdS it inTeResTing CauSe I cLeaRly HavE nO iDea WhAt psYcHoLoGiCaL HoRroR iS
I don't really like the way the boss constantly judges the main character based on some of his delusional assumptions.
