Im actually okay with most stories like this one and viridescent crown where the ml and fl are step siblings- because they werent raised like one. As for Beware of the Brothers well its kinda different because thy have parental figures? They were both raised in a loving home as siblings. Its just weird. But I still read it though lmao

You grow up with your adopted brother in a normal family, and you have parents right? Those parents are the one who raise you as siblings, your situation looks like siblings from manhwa 'beware of the brothers', and i dropped that manhwa since i'm not comfortable with adopted siblings romance

But this manhwa doesn't have any parent figure who raise them as siblings, FL got kidnapped by ML's mother and people misunderstood her as the real daughter, she knows she's not part of the family so she doesn't see ML as her brother, ML probably knows the baby is not his sister (since how could FL still alive and managed to deceive people as the real daughter if it's not because of ML? FL almost got killed after the mother died, so who save FL? ML is strong as a kid, maybe ML is the one who saved FL after the death of his mother and lied to everyone that she's his sister because that's the only way for her to survive, i don't see the possibility of people other than ML who's willing to help FL like that, FL in this manhwa is not officialy got adopted like you/your brother so their situation is different, people might think they're siblings, but in these 8 chapters they just look like normal childhood friends), this is basically two non-blood related children who live in the same palace and try to survive together, moreover the readers know the romance will happen since it has a novel

Im uncomfortable with Beware of the brothers too for the same reason(but did not drop it lmao)

Why would he have cared whether she survived or not. His mother had just died and there was a random baby near the scene, perfectly healthy. Also, saving her would have just given him more conflict, because there are enough siblings in the family and the rules state he'll have to protect her. Why would he think bringing her into that cruel family would be saving her. Either way, he had no intention of getting close to her since he left her alone for so long so why would he bother.

no he did'nt . Reread his POV as well. "Lachia is mine" so he treated her as an enemy as per advise by her ailing mother. Both parties as of the beginning of the story don't clearly treat each other as family. He even doubted her when the blue flame choose her.

If we talk about this story as of now the current brother don't treat her as sister yet. He doesn't know familial feelings yet, we'll see if he grew to like her as a sister.
