Megumi and Tsugumi are finally going to become a pair! This manga is way too messed up, nobody deserves all the shit she went through, specially a child. I thought things would get better for her as the story progressed, but by the end of it I was just terrified at how disgusting people can be.
It all started with the girl being influenced to do drugs and ending up being raped by that older dude Hayato.
Then, while trying to fit in with the others and after being influenced by her classmate, she prostitutes herself to an older dude to buy accessories to make the girls like her more.
When her male classmates find out about that, she is forced to pay sexual favors to them in order to make them stay quiet about what she did.
Then, when you think things couldn't get worse, her own goddamn dad rapes her and starts to constantly abuse her sexually. And to make things even worse: when the mother find out about the abuse, she accuses her own daughter of "seducing" the dad and kicks her out of the house.
With nowhere else to go, she drops out of school and starts living with Hayato, who she's innocently loyal to. As soon as she realizes he has a really big debt because of drugs, she decides to help him pay for it, and the only way she's able to make money is through prostitution. I still can't believe that that shitty "boyfriend" of hers made her, a literal child, do drugs and prostitute herself to sustain HIS addiction and pay for HIS debt (even though she also used the drugs, she did it mostly for Hayato). And after all that plus manipulating her, when she gets home after being robbed and raped, he simply puts her out of his house and abandons her when he knew she had nowhere else to go. Then, right after being kicked out, she's raped again by a bunch of homeless men.
Now living with said homeless men, she finds out she is pregnant and decides to keep and raise the child, but unfortunately she still has to prostitute herself while pregnant to save money to raise her baby. It was at this point of the story that I was hopeful she would be able to quit drugs and be able to live a normal life with her child, but no, things just got even worse for her... She was keeping all the money she saved on some kind of locker somewhere, and when she was putting some more in there, a bunch of people saw what she and accused her of stealing that money, even though she tried to explain she earned it herself and needed it for the baby. Those terrible people mercilessly beat up an innocent pregnant woman until she lost her baby, I can't even describe how messed up this is. And just like that, that poor girl dies in what seems to be a public bathroom while thinking about how her future with her child could have been.
The story says she had just gotten into highschool when all that shit happened, which means she was 14-15 years old. She was so young, yet she had to go through all this. I just wanted to see her happy in the end, I wanted her to be able to overcome everything she went through and live a normal and happy life with her child :(
