I think he was intentionally teasing him just to see if he could get a rise out of him. He could tell that saying "he's weak" would bring out his more competitive side because he is still an alpha after all.

I dunno, I just don't get that vibe. Tbh I don't think the author would do that, but maybe it's just me? And even if the doc feels that way rn, I feel like he'll end up developing true feelings for him.
Check the other works of the authors if you haven’t, believe me, I’ve seen worse and this is just mere compared to what I’ve seen but still doc need to be called out.
