i dont think zero will die just like that. i kinda remember there was a flashback of zero dying due to lack of bl000d consumption and he turned into dust. but this should be in the same timeline where they already develop that potion to turn vamps to humans.

In between the end of life and heaven chapter, Yuki cried saying Zero was an idiot for dying because he tried to protect a child that he didn't even know. The wound he received was fatal so Zero wished for Yuki to eat him so they could be together (like he did to Ichiru), so she did.
Idk if it'll happen in this timeline though but the last scene just created a flag. I hope it's just my feeling
