The way I binge read this at night, now i'm sleep deprived but I NEED the rest of the story

He ended up choosing action in the end. Seizing the flowers with its thorns and betting it all on Shurri.
What do you mean? I was always curious since the beginning why the marquis chose shuri. Always assumed it would be soemthing along the line that she would never pose a threat to his heirs. But after the recent chapters I’m more confused. Why would he marry her if she resembles the women he loved & is being tortured by her memory of her. Like why? For revenge against the king? Or peace? Still confused
I think he understood that everyone, noble or not, would use his children in some way or another and even try to destroy his family in the future.
Probably because he knew he was gonna die anyway, and leave his children to fend for themselves, he bet everything on Shurri, who happens to look like the person who mocked his previous inaction and passivity.
Even though he led a happy life with his wife, perhaps there was a lingering regret that he did not try everything to win Ludovica's heart, maybe at his side, she would've lived, maybe he could've changed things?
Hence why he bet on Shurri becoming a pillar to the family and carrying his legacy. He married her to give her the standing necessary to protect his children in the future and to serve as their role model, since he would already be dead before he could teach them himself.
I feel he also wanted to live his illusion of marrying Ludovica.
At least, this is what I understood from his flashbacks. We may yet to see the whole backstory.
The author has left things very mysterious and open for speculation, so we'll see.
At this point, I think the only way Ian will end up with Jo is if TJ dies
And let me tell you, if Ian ends up with Jo SOLELY because TJ died, that'd be the ending that would trigger the whole fandom, no matter who you ship or who you stan.
I really trust Doyak's storyteller abilities and I have my own theory that takes lots of little hints she left here and there, so I think she might give us the most sour ending, but it won't be just because but perfectly crafted to reach that point.
Read the novel twice because I liked it so much. Happy it's been adapted and with such gorgeous art too!
