I don’t particularly agree with you on the last bit about the assault since it’s kinda iffy with these omegaverse stories and in all honesty the uke threw himself on him, and it doesn’t seem like the uke is too upset about it. Omegaverse is always a grey area, I don’t know, but it’s not my cup of tea with how borderline assault it is.
I completely agree with you, in this case the uke consented so it’s not assault but I personally don’t like omegaverse stories for the same reason
the protagonist was in heat, that does not justify nor does it excuse the love interest’s actions, as there was no CLEAR consent. not fighting back or throwing himself on him in the first place (ESPECIALLY since he was in heat, which made it an instinct) does not mean it was consented. i agree though, he did seem to be okay with it, but once again, doesn’t excuse the fact that the love interest wasn’t responsible, especially with someone who isn’t in their right mind. i may just be making a big deal out of nothing though lol, but i just thought it was a little uncomfortable
omegaverse is definitely a bit in the grey area for me, since there are many aspects that normalize assault and such. i don’t really think he consented fully in this situation, though. consent is a clear and definite yes; he was in a vulnerable position and couldn’t exactly fight back in the first place, so i don’t really know how i feel about it.
