No, Ren their friend who apparently had a crush on the mc (it’s also been a while since I’ve read but I read the latest chapters) was the one who handed the mc the umbrella, the boss thought the mc holding the umbrella was Ren and talked to him there (if the umbrella scene you’re talking about is the one in the latest chapters lol)
