Yeah, this manga is based on a novel. The setup is pretty convoluted, but everything you see will have meaning later on. Even the middle-school girl on the bus that crashed.

Um, they're high school students? If you don't want realistic go read a DC comic. And, seriously, stop contradicting yourself. First you ask that someone be more mature than their actual age, then when the person DOES show a bit of maturity in another aspect of the story you STILL complain about their actions. One OBVIOUS example: The fact that he APOLOGIZED FOR USING THE GIRL so that he can ignore his feelings. Which tells me even if they HAD communicated their love to each other from the BEGINNING you would STILL not be satisfied.
