I think he had moments where he wanted to love Bum. Sexual orientation aside, I think Sangwoo just wanted for someone to love him. But he was a far too damaged and sick young man for him to ever be in a relationship of any kind.

Yes, and remember that he couldn't love him properly because Bum always reminded him of his mother, which is his ultimate trauma. Sangwoo seems to have schizophrenia so be assured it's going to repeat cycles until someone dies which he did at the end :)
