Tbf i love love lovedddd this arc, but it rlly was just genuinely long. Its vastly different in pacing compared to other sections, so ofc ppl are gonna say that. Plus diff ppl have diff opinions, many parts of many stories are debated as being boring/uninteresting or not, you shouldnt let that opinion get to you so much.

You're discounting the opinion of MANY of the commenters who have enjoyed this series of stories from the first arc. A lot of us thought this one felt unduly long.

Doesn't mean everyone has the same opinion, but that is not rude. It just IS. Unless you think everyone's opinion should be the same as yours.

Clearly missed my point I never said their opinion has to be the same as mine? I'm not denying that the arc was longer than the rest but people saying "finally! It's over" like they just survived the war IS rude asf Ntm those same people were the ones in the comments section complaining about how long it is just because it pasted ten chapters durning this arc also isn't this to be expected? She's transferring into different stories that are going to be longer or shorter than others she had previously went into so I don't understand the complaining also it would just be boring if she was in and out of a story and onto the next one in just a few chapters and neither her or the characters in the stories would have any growth

I loved this arc too and as I've already said I'm not denying it's longer than the rest but that was just a given from when I started reading this that for this type of story there would be longer arcs and shorter arcs seeing as how she's going to be jumping into shorter or longer stories that are falling apart and I'm not letting it get to me?? I'm just saying my opinion about their opinions :) it just so happens that A LOT of people feel differently from how I do

You definitely missed the point of what they was saying. They never said everyone opinion should be the same as theirs but that’s it rude to just say “it’s finally over” like what did y’all expect? Each arc is going to get more difficult and longer because of the difficulty. In this arc she couldn’t use any of the tools to help her. she was for once actually a regular human. Not only that but it’s rude to the author who is writing these for our enjoyment. Y’all can be done or tired with this arc no one said you couldn’t but at least be respectful.

No, it is not rude. It's a reaction to a sense of feeling frustrated with the pace.
Your interpretation is it's rude.
But it's a pretty natural reaction to a lot of the weeks of comments about "how long, how long, when will it be over." Pretty expected, no?

Also, I have known hundreds of writers--I have written fiction, reviewed it, and edited it--and some of my pals to this day that I contact daily are writers, a few bestsellers. They are all (at least the pros) used to criticism, Used to varying reviews. Love the great reviews. Move on from low reviews. But all pro writers (and artists) know that people will react. Some negatively.

Overall, I really enjoy this series, from the sassy title to the kickass lead.
But I can feel frustrated by a prolonged (repetitive) arc. And pros don't throw a fit over this. It's part of the job to take criticism. It's life for creatives. Period.

You do know that not everyone is the same correct? And I doubt you know every writer from around the world. Even most “pro” writers can’t handle criticism. Some can some can’t. It life and it happens. Just because it life for creators doesn’t mean that EVERY creator/writer can handle criticism. Just like if you was a youtuber people know criticism comes with the job but that doesn’t mean they can all handle it.

Fyi just because they know that criticism and negative comments comes with the job doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt. Criticism can be disrespectful.

Also the “pace” is not the author fault but the uploader/translater. This arc been completed and in the raw they have at least 2-3 more arcs completed.

Uploaders have life outside of an illegal website. If they want the story to hurry up then they should learn Chinese and read the raws or upload it themselves so that means translating, typesetting, and proofreading making sure everything is grammatically correct for english readers. So yes it is rude since uploaders took their time to translate these stories for us to enjoy.

They didn’t have to do it but they did so the least we can do is wait respectfully and patiently for each upload instead of rushing them to hurry up and end the arc and start a new one.

Wth? Sorry but I can't believe that one bit why are you trying to defend negative criticism and what people were saying in the comments was not criticism it was just being rude there's a difference between ACTUAL criticism and just being an asshole negative criticism is at least helpful but just saying "I'm so glad this Arc is finally over" is not helpful at all just being rude as I've already said but I don't understand how you could be an editor but let my point fly over your head that badly I feel bad for people who let you edit their work

This is part of the issues, yes. But in this arc, THREE men was NOT necessary to set up the endgame. That's part why it felt long. Two guys showe dup and then...boof....seem to have been irrelevant. If they had been woven into the endgame/climax to add complexity, okay. But they were just, "Hi, I love/hate you" and "Hi, I am a cheating scum" and bye, I am never heard from again.

By pace I don't mean the release dates, btw.

I lowkey thought it was a lie but im trying to give them the benefit of the doubt cause like wtf they’re literally trying to justify negative criticism it can’t even be called criticism since some of the comments are just people being assholes. Constructed Criticism should be helpful that helps a writer improve their stories. Not complain about the pace like ungrateful children when they’re lucky an uploader is even uploading/translating this story for us to enjoy.

A real editor/writer should understand the differences between constructive criticism and people being assholes. A real editor/writer should understand the time and patience it takes to proofread, translate and fix any mistakes. At the end of the day we are readers reading on an illegal website that could disappear anytime so the least us readers could do it be respectful and patient.

It comes with the job. And it may hurt. But YOU are not the writer--or maybe you are, dunno. It's THEIR right to feel hurt. You are a third party with a right to feel the pace is perfect. We also have a right to feel it's not.

Don't feel bad. They have been very grateful. One won an award :)

The issue is this: saying an arc that FELT long is finally over is NOT excessive or rude criticism. It's an expression of relief. We can move on.

Or perhaps I've seen so many actually mean and nasty and vicious reviews that this seems so minor by comparison. Some of my writer friends have even gotten threats.

There is no need for constructive criticism here. This is not a class. This is not mentoring. This is not for the author.

Once again just because it comes with the job doesn’t mean people have to be dicks. THEY can choose to be respectful especially on an illegal website where UPLOADERS are providing THEM stories to read. YOU clearly can’t read. You’re an editor yet you’re not understanding anything I’m or the op commeter saying.

What they said aren’t even criticism those are opinions. There a difference between opinions and constructive criticism. Criticism is helpful. Opinions is a view or judgment. Those comments are OPINIONS and they’re being impatient ungrateful children.

THIS isn't who you are so stop fighting and just take a deep breath" I'm sorry it's just the first thing I thought of reading your comment honey I was fine until they started bringing up their "career" like I asked about it or something just to make their opinion more valid that's so stupid to me if I wanted to know about their life story and accomplishments I would have asked idk why they think I'm supposed to care about how someone they edited won an award? How is your whole life going to be based around critiquing and editing other people's stories but you can't tell the difference between negative criticism and someone just being an asshole? SHEESHHHH
