I saw this coming for a while now. I've always felt off about Khaol and River's relationship... like there was just something wrong. Khaol was built on hate and just desired River and wanted to possess him. He never wanted to love River, as his heart had belonged to Kaveri all this time. Even though Kaveri desperately wants to just move on, Khaol keeps him bound, and throws away River. Heil treasured River on a fundamental level. He asked for nothing in return, but to be a friend. He never wanted River to get hurt or feel sad, and he sees humans on an equal level. He doesn't feel the need to possess people, instead he just enjoys if you stick around, and respects if you want to leave. Khaol's former brides only stick with him to keep him company, not because he's forcing them. As the god of death, he is the literal definition of moving on.

Harenochi Shikibu (sooooo cute just appreciating the seasons and your surroundings w/ these two dorks)
Komatta toki ni hoshi ni kike (it gives of a very beautiful feeling...very subtle, one of my favorites though old & same author as super lovers but no incest (≧∀≦)
The man in the mirror is short n sweet
Kazoku ni narouyo and the prequel is wholesome two dad family content
I hear the sunspot (awesome and sweet story about a deaf boy falling in love, it's so touching)

OMG! Totally love Harenochi Shikibu, soooo adorable and heartwarming (it's one of the last ones on the list)!! Just like Kazoku ni narouyo also love it but havent had the chance to read it yet!
Couldn't find "I hear the sunspot" but i'm so going to read Komatta toki ni hoshi ni kike as soon as i have some time! Thank you for the recomendations ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

sorry Σ( ￣□￣||) I have the physical english version of the manga so I forgot to include the japanese name! The japanese name for I hear the sunspot is "Hidamari ga Kikoeru"

I am also very obsessed with Harenochi! I have a signed canvas and a bunch of merch coming next month from the artist! lmao I even got to speak with them on their birthday

Okay well-- I think I've read almost everything out there (at least the stories that I want to read, looking at you, shota cons) and I think I wanna step away from it a little. Are there any wholesome type sorta manga that don't have much drama? Preferrably with light or heavy BL undertones, something like Fukigen Na Mononokean or Gakuen Babysitters? Or any BL stories that are more wholesome and like clean of smut? i.e. Harenochi Shikibu (which I heavily recommend reading, it's adorable) With the corona virus running loose I need something to purify my soul
