I agree, I'm tired of negative tropes and bad cliches around omegaverse. Rape is so poorly integrated into the plot and written off as something that "just has to happen". And I'm like, so frustrated like UGH. He seems like such a strong Omega character too, so I'm just disappointed how fetishised this whole thing was. It doesn't make sense to feel the need to start with sex between the leads ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ I think it would make for a better story if they fleshed out the characters and took their time developing their interactions. I'm not saying it has to be all happy happy communicative. Hell, make it toxic for a the purpose of growing the characters, but it just doesn't make sense for the intended male lead to already be forcibly up in the omegas ass. It's in poor taste. If you want a good omegaverse, I recommend "Kiraide Isasete"!! Fair warning, it's a drama and makes me sad lol there is rape but it's not between the male leads(which doesn't make it any better) but there is a purpose for it, since the rape was way before the beginning of the story. I don't want to give away too much but if you haven't read it. I recommend this one. It's satisfying by the end of it.
