The circumstances and all he's going through made him like that even if this isnt no excuse for his behavior and at the same time I understand Penelope, in that ride or die situation, maybe I could've done the same because Eclis was the easiest prey/catch among the love interests, which means a faster way out of the ''deadly'' and unfortunate situation she's in.
