I think that Ichi like Haru in real life but is too afraid to approach him (given his personality) so in the first chapter when Haru received a call from his brother saying to test out the game, you see Ichi nearby. He probably overheard the conversation and hacked into the game, disguising himself as an NPC. That way he can approach Haru without having to worry because he is an NPC (to Haru) and he can get close to him without him knowing that he is a real person.
Omg i never really thought about that but yeah now i thick that Ichi knew about haru before the game.
