i really disagree. i had seen MC getting abused so many times that he HAD to do something. the fact that he wanted nothing but MC's happiness was proved in their farewell conversation. how he didn't ask him to stay or be in relationship or ask him why did he run to that psycopath. he just hugged and made him promise that he'll live a happy life.
