Hey I don’t wanna be rude or anything but whoever’s this translator can you stop translating these chapters?
Honestly the translations suck and you’re changing words to brain rot terms like skibidi and what not which I feel like is extremely disrespectful to the author behind My Guildmate Next Door. I’m sure it takes a while to translate and I don’t want to be ungrateful however your translations don’t come across, you don’t include every panel, you change existing words to be “funny” and just overall ruining the experience of the manhwa.
Theres already a good translator, bingsoo cat cafe translating PLUS officials, so stop trying to get people to drop the manhwa because the quality lowered, it isn’t exactly helping and hardly anyone would be willing to read this over waiting for the officials…. It’s just making me sad that these awful translations are probably going to be a permanent record on such a good manhwa.
Genuinely I think it would be a win win for both sides if you stop, you stop wasting your time, and we get better translations
Am I crazy? I thought this was probably one of the best endings an anime has had in a while (￣∇￣"), like it wasn’t what I expected at all and actually kinda fit pretty well, sure a part of me was hoping Aqua didn’t actually die but I think him being reincarnated just to protect Ruby so that her dream can come true was actually kinda sweet and how everybody learned to grow past their pain.
And then I go to the comments and everyone’s saying it’s the worst ending like dawg, I’d prefer this ending over whatever ending MHA had like a thousand times over, maybe I’m just used to crappy endings or something or I’m not crazy and this ending was actually good
And if anything this just made me super excited for the ending to be animated so that I could get my friends to see it before I get too excited and spoil it
Can people please calm down about the artstyle change and calling it bad? Yes I get it, the previous art is what gave TBATE its uniqueness but have you guys not read the extra that explained WHY we got an artstyle change?
The artstyle changed because of financial issues causing the previous artist to leave, it’s not right to want him back when he could’ve been going through hell because of it. Honestly just be glad TBATE is even being updated, many comics have been cancelled mid story because of stuff like this and never came back.
The whole reason we had that gigantic hiatus between the previous art and the new art is because the now artist has been practicing that style for the entire hiatus, trying to match it as closely as they can. It’s near impossible for artists to perfectly replicate styles especially within that short time limit and I’d say that the new artist is growing better and better and closer to the original each day.
Saying the artstyle sucks and you can’t bear to read anymore because of it is actually really upsetting considering how hard the artist is trying to replicate that style to APPEASE you guys. I’m genuinely sick and tired of every chapter being filled with comments of “omggg it’s so bad, I can’t take it anymore, now I gotta read the novel so I don’t get distracted by the bad art” yeah sure go read the novel but stop shitting on something so sensitive. If you hate the artstyle so bad then maybe TBATE should’ve been cancelled the day the og artist left and so no one could enjoy it. Bet you guys would’ve enjoyed that one more huh

Regarding the new artist, that entire hiatus we had between og artist chapters and new artist chapters was spent SOLELY for the artist to come as close as possible to matching the unique style. With that little time, it’s nearly impossible to perfectly replicate it so yeah it sucks we lost the unique style but every chapter the artist is clearly getting better and more similar so I can’t believe how hurtful you guys are being to someone who’s trying their best JUST for people like you
With the way you guys act saying you’re dropping it because you can’t stand it or calling it shit just like, stop. Would you guys have preferred the manhwa for TBATE be cancelled? This is why this is my favorite overpowered main character trope. He’s literally so overpowered he’s probably, if not, the strongest character in this continent but then they reveal a continent that his strongest level is their weakest and no matter what he does, he can’t protect the people weaker than him that he loves.
THIS is how you do overpowered main characters, give them equal or stronger enemies and make it impossible for the mc who is just one guy to save everyone.

So I got some spoilers from looking at the wiki and all that but I’m genuinely curious about something.
They mentioned earlier that Geon/Gun has to find an SS class saint since he’s a zodiac and all and I’m genuinely curious who he chooses for a saint? Or does he even get a saint? I’ve been looking forward to it but it’s been like 40 or so chapters since then and it seems like they kinda forgot about it since it wasn’t mentioned and doesn’t come up anywhere on the wiki
Isekai, the usual transmigration, reincarnation, time travel etc. except, you know, it's gay
To preface what I mean, it feels like a rushed ending like, they decided THIS chapter they wanted to end this.
Why? Because this was a slow burn with many different plot points taking place at the same time. What I mean is when Jerry got the book he realized every route with Ilya, even the cannon/good route was a bad route, as in a route that ended up poorly for the country and/or Jerry. We also were introduced to the book that required more pieces for more information, the shop keeper who stole his brooch (for something that I felt was literally going to be revealed in these next few chapters) and LITERALLY the terrorists that Ilya was “working with” who were still terrorizing the country that only Jerry could stop. Plus we were also introduced to the system being an outside magic force that Ilya could see and told Jerry was an unknown magic. There were so many build ups for something that genuinely felt like it would be introduced, yet this chapter/ending felt like, a fanfiction ending. Like why is it snowing now. Why does Jerry all of a sudden accept his feelings for Ilya. What happened to the terrorists. What happened to the crown prince. What happened to the books/server magic/shopkeeper. Like, were we not just building up to a huge climax?
I genuinely believe that the time between last chapter and this chapter the author felt maybe bored or wanted to move on and just wrote a scrapped ending. Like I don’t want smut or anything but why did it end when they finally started dating? Not only that but they timeskipped and got married not even a second after they started dating and then time skipped AGAIN skipping all the important “royals can’t live in the castle after a different royal ascended the throne” like I GET it’s like the mentor and he gave up his last name and right to the throne but? How? Crazy to have a slow burn then get a ending like that out of nowhere I’m honestly a little disappointed. By no means was this the best manhwa I’ve read, but it was definitely really sweet and I enjoyed the updates, so having such a cut off ending like this because the author must’ve hated it or something (genuinely only explanation I can think of with an ending THAT unplanned and rushed) just makes me a little sad yknow?
Omg I know this is random but does anyone know the sauce for the endnotes on chapter 15 and 16? I might come back to this if there’s more later chapters since I’m currently on chapter 17 but those kids look SO adorable and I really wanna read the manga/manhwa they’re from so bad
Tbh this was such a fun read when it was her against the bullies that then transitioned into him finishing the job (forgot both their names lol)
I tried reading after that but honestly it just stopped becoming a regular killer story because honestly the whole reason I enjoyed it so much was because it reminded me of the good ol’ days of creepypasta, but then apparently the pumpkin knight is a spirit and it’s not just them losing their minds over trauma and she comes back to life and it’s just…. What?
It stopped being a killer revenge story from a couple who experienced hardcore trauma which honestly felt realistic in a way to now an unrealistic power fantasy that never ends and is just nonstop gorey.
Like now they’re just killing to kill which is like nice and all I guess (give me some credit here, there isn’t much I can compliment it on without sounding like a psychopath)
But I feel like it misses that “oh she has to kill these guys I wonder how she does it” or “I wonder what happened to her to make her go crazy at that” and gasping at the unique ways she kills her bullies and honestly the way she passed away while fantasizing with the boy about what life could’ve been like without the bullies was kinda cute
Just kinda disappointed as to what it became. Hell I’ll even reread the earlier parts but I can’t get passed the whole supernatural stuff and the weird pedophilia doctor
Ok call me crazy but why do I kinda fw the second volume and couple more than the first one ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄ like the first couple was cute and all but the second couple has me on the edge of my seat and I think they’re so much cuter
Like okay I totally understand where you guys are coming from, I’m not sending any hate or anything, because I do agree it’s cliche and Tess isn’t the best, but I don’t hate her as much as a lot of you do, like I won’t drop it if they get together and honestly I think the romance between her and Arthur is kinda cute, like watching teen love a little bit.
Of course I won’t say any spoilers but I do reference some scenes (that you’d get if you read it, but won’t be spoiled if you haven’t) that way you can see where I’m coming from without being worried that I’d ruin the plot(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
There’s definitely times where she frustrates me, but I really like how she has been patient while also taking the lead knowing he wouldn’t, like she knows he’s afraid and she wants him to see that it’s okay. I also really like how she grounds him, like after he feels like he’s lost everyone and that he’s alone, she’s still there by his side and and he’s willing to do anything to protect her, considering her as one of his family members even if they haven’t been together for long. I also really love her development with his family, like I honestly kinda think they nailed a daughter in law’s relationship with her “lover’s” family (idk what else to call him)
I also kinda like how ambiguous their relationship is, like they’re not together but there’s something there. I’m glad they don’t focus hard on the romance plot but I do enjoy it being there like a nice break from the whole crazy depression fight arcs that TBATE is good at.
I also completely understand the whole weird reincarnation and age thing, but I actually like how they approached it, like rather than typical reincarnation romances where they don’t consider age at all, it’s actually a part of the plot and he hasn’t considered her anything more than a little sister until they grew up. Sure they’re still young, but I’d much prefer this than him, a minor, dating someone his mom’s age (which he literally talks about) and he didn’t date her when they were kids which he totally could’ve, instead they started going down the romance plot when they’re like (16? I don’t remember) in a more comfortable dating age and she took the first step. Even then he’s holding himself back, but it only makes me more excited for when they’re adults and he’ll finally consider it as okay. (I don’t consider it pedophilia that much considering he’s technically a minor too, but I still see where you guys are coming from with that so I am glad they didn’t really confirm the relationship just yet)
But hey maybe it’s because I’m a sucker for romance ┗( T﹏T )┛
Long story short: I don’t mind it that much because the author goes about it correctly in my eyes, and they take a more realistic approach (like of course Tess is more immature than Arthur despite her being older, he technically lived longer while she is still going through puberty, mind and body)
And they don’t focus on it enough to take away from the plot but rather ground it, give readers a break while establishing relationships type thing
Only thing I’m a little disappointed about is that it felt like a harem was going to start and honestly I’d MUCH rather a sole Tess romance plot than a harem plot. Now THATS cliche
