A lot of people disagree with the side story, I might be of the few (or the only one) that I liked it. But from a different perspective. No, I don't like cheaters. But their relationship at the beginning was forced and arranged, they were also young and stupid and they let their parents and their second gender to take over them. Yes the Alpha really was messy and I hated that he was violent but if he wanted, he could and he did, he turned around. But I also love the Omega having the courage to get out and not backing down until the end. There wasn't and oficial suggestion that they ended up together at the end. It was more a mature way to keep good terms for the baby and for themselves after the rough path. Start slow, clean slate, a reset in which they're not puppets but their own, to heal and see what the future brings them moving forward (maybe more as parents and friends than couples). And I wouldn't mind more of the side story to see how they have grown after starting over.
