Because some people here aren't even trying to understand the character nor the story. It's repeatedly mentioned several times that the FL was hidden by her brother and was sick all the time. Meaning she doesn't have a lot of experience in manipulating people or being clever in just a few months, I could say she was doing okay for her first time and yes I am not surprised when she made some mistakes. Some people these days are so used to seeing strong FL that they forgot what a realistic FL looks like. It's a good thing that there are still some people who appreciates flawed heroine.
