So I read the comment on the front and was like 'It can't be that bad( ̄∇ ̄")
....It's worse.
If MC was a real person I would immediately contact a domestic abuse refuge and arrang for her to have therapy. Because WTF?!!
The ML is foul. I...I just can't see how he can be redeemed
Yes their father was definitely crappy. However, he seems to have genuinely believed Castiel was doing well and that he was better off without his presence
Why he seems so nice to the MC? I think it's really that she *CRUCIALLY* says outloud what she wants.
Castiel is understandably hesistant and shy. Also, his abusers told him he was hated by his dad, so he rarely appeared in front of him and is only *NOW* slowly saying what he wants...Through the MC #-.-)
If there's anyone who should be criticised it should be the King!
He *KNEW* his son was bullied and abused. Abused to the point of wanting to kill himself with berries
But it seems he didn't do *ANYTHING* about it
(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
....At least from what the flashbacks suggest
The depiction of PTSD was good though, I will give them that.
It truly illustrated just how physically and psychologically painful trauma can be.
Okay, I really, really enjoyed it and delayed reading the ending
However, one big thing (and maybe it's me being dumb) I STILL DON'T GET THE TEMPLE BRIDE SACRIFICE THING!!!
(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
I've tried to get my head around it and I still don't get it
Also, why did the FL's guardian say 'If I had a daughter'?? Dude you HAVE a daughter. Blood or no blood. She's yours. That was disappointing
Who is the blonde child, Sera?
...With the family's history I'm kinda confused why they'd bring another child into the mix lol.
( ̄∇ ̄")
Just donate to orphanages and strengthen child abuse laws & policies for the love of all that is good!!?!!
I thought we were going to see her discover she was pregnant first
That was such a realistic portrayal of loss, fear, grief, helplessness
Like you *really* felt her realisation of her powerlessness.
So many people complain that the FLs in isekai just end up with everything going their way and remain powerful
Um...Crown Prince...Where's the hustle??!!
Σ(  ̄□ ̄||)
You seem to be doing a lot of watching and ordering,
but not a lot of DOING!!! (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Not gonna lie, as someone with chronic conditions that initial scene with the ML and then the maids was triggering .
It really doesn't matter if we're usually in pain and/or discomfort- we never get used to it.
It still hurts. It's still distressing. And we still want, need & deserve comfort and understanding.
I can't tell if he was just saying that to be cruel cos he's pissed? Or cos he didn't think anything of it and was saying it to the frenemy, while just wanting to take her home?
Either way it was crappy
Oh gosh, do you think she'll somehow die and her mum and the FL's uncle will raise her baby as their own??
The FL's uncle always wanted a child and did say to his ex wife that he'd be totally down to adopt, but it was she that refused...
I enjoyed the revenge, but the way the author depicted the FL's power was immensely frustrating
It would've been wayyy better to see it in some kind of physical manifestation and/or at least within her direct control i.e. prayers for her family or writing in her journal.
It just felt quite...wishy washy
So we never see the FL reconcile with her one good sister?? TF?!
Also, it seemed liked they were teasing the ML's brother having chemistry with Kienna. And yet no mention or actual development
No child should live for their mother
I've lived it and it becomes incredibly difficult to disentangle yourself as you get older.
So I'm excited for boundaries to be explored in the upcoming chapters.
This is definitely some kind of cable TV telenovela/class K-drama type of plot, because no way could:
*A random person being switched in (regardless if they're the sister or blood relative) to replace the OG surrogate.
- Soooo much testing goes into the selection process
* Highly unlikely a surrogate could just disappear within the same city & country, with a baby. Especially if the family that sought the surrogacy was rich.
-They'd just hire a private investigator and hunt the person down ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
But I'm a beliver in the importance of 'suspension of disbelief' so I'll read it without my critical thinking brain on (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
Glad that Ravi and the FL are depicted as having a healthy, relatable and actually wholesome sibling relationship.
Manhwas either have siblings *HATING* each other to be point of killing them. Or adoration to the point of being toxic fan/bias coded
