Bro like i swear im actually so worried for the country. Everytime the king does some crazy shit im like damn what will the court think about this??? Also can we talk about how he just straight up killed one of the six most important ministers???? The uke’s dad??? Like gosh it’s a miracle a coup hasn’t happened yet

Honestly speaking, i really do think that this a well written story. Despite all the things the top has done, uke still cant help but fall in love (?), which is honestly pretty plausible if this were to happen irl. Both uke and seme have depth to their characters, and i really liked seeing the top’s scruples when it came to killing people and the complexities behind why he still keeps the bottom around. However, good writing and attention to detail dont always make for a good story. Im not saying its not a good story, but their falling in love and possibly getting a good end is teetering towards mid territory. Like someone else said in the comments, it feels like we’re trapped in a loop. 80 freaking chapters and we’re back where we started. I know a lot of ppl love happy endings (me included, i like having a good end), but this is one of the stories i just dont think deserves a happy ending. If there were to be a happy ending, then it basically renders the entire first half of the story useless because all that pining for revenge and stuggle was pointless because it turns out they love each othet!! So what was the purpose of dwelling on the ukes thoughts and hatred for the seme? There’s just no sense of payoff. Remember when he did all sorts of warcrimes against uke and his family? Yeah well, forget that now cos theyre in love. I WANT to see them happy because yk, theyre our protagonists and ultimately reading abt characters who are happy will make the reader happy, but it feels like we’re almost cheated of a story yk?? Also like sorry for ranting about a completely hypothetical about good vs bad end when it is literally only just season two but…i cant do ts anymore you can only push and pull so much until shit gets repetitive like, when i was reading ks some of the escape shenanigans got real old real fast. Basically i just think it should have a bad ending. Or an open one, at the least. I feel like that would make all of this feel “worth it”. But i do want to stress that the greedy side of me wants to have a happy ending cos who doesnt like good endings but yeah story wise bad end would be really satisfying
TLDR; love the writing, storyline kinda repetitive but would def benefit from a bad ending; if it was good end then no payoff and makes for an “unsatisfying” story kinda
Honestly this brother playing mind games with himself
