During that chapter when the king went into Shin’s room and they both got drunk and a little touchy (づ￣ ³￣)づ, Shin actually put some kind of sleeping agent in the King’s drink so he wouldn’t wake up for the next few days. Shin sends the king somewhere in a wagon and made sure he didn’t look at the location. He did this to protect the king from being taken from the red haired dude’s army.
So right now the king is at a safe place where we don’t know, but like he’s definitely coming back for his baby Shin!! Hope this helps.
