This was a great read, I was very satisfied with the ending given that none of the characters involved were “good” people to begin with.
But I gotta say I was so annoyed every time the psychiatrist shows up. The ugly ass psychiatrist was the one who got everyone involved with each other in the first place just because he fell for his client (Alex) and wanted to please him and then he got jealous all by himself when the two people he introduced got close to each other.
It was annoying to see how naive and blinded the psychiatrist was, thinking he understood and sympathized with a murderer and thought he could change him by giving him love. It pissed me off the most when Clark warned him about getting close to Alex but the psychiatrist (didn’t bother to remember his name) didn’t even consider his warnings because he’s so fucking dumb and infatuated with the murderer. It was so ironic that Alex was using him and inwardly thought he was annoying all while the psychiatrist kept defending his infatuation with Alex. Not gonna lie, was glad he got killed off.
Most unlikable character in the story for me.

Not that it’s a bad thing, but does every single male spinel shown in the story need to end up with their master? It’s just that 3 spinels in a row ending up with their masters and ha ha surprise they’re all gay. Honestly one of the best part so far for me is that the duchess found her happiness and is having her own business being independent.
Again, don’t wanna offend anyone coz duh, yaoi manga = mostly gay couples but by the time Noah started thinking about his fated one and *poof* the new king appears, my reaction was just like “oh come on.. another one?” It didn’t help that the author didn’t even build up the relationship, it seemed more like BAM love at first sight? Why? Coz fate!
The story also tries to build up some oncoming threats/struggles but no conflict really ever shows up? Like with the other duke kidnapping the mc and giving so many warnings but it all ends up to nothing and gets resolved instantly. And the main spinel guy feeling all the insecurities when he compared himself to the prince guy and saying he needs power etc. but it also gets resolved so easily when the prince becomes king and frees all the spinels. It was just kind of anticlimatic.

There is romance between the elf childhood friend and the MC (at least in the novel). I am not liking it one bit.
The elf girl is in the same academy as the MC and she is the student council president (she’s a year older than him). There was a fight between students on the first day of school and MC stepped in to stop it but the elf girl appeared and wanted to “maintain the student council president image” so she scolded/lectured the MC about picking fights despite knowing that MC doesn’t pick fights for no reason. MC got angry at this treatment and talked back, saying she doesn’t know what happened between the students.
Then The novel went into the elf girl’s POV and she goes all “ahhh I shouldn’t have done that! We were supposed to have a romantic reunion” blah blah and she also thinks that if MC had said something like “long time no see” or act friendly, she wouldn’t have scolded him. In her internal thoughts, she’s making up excuses and blaming MC, even though later she does admit she was somewhat at fault.
MC also realised he shouldn’t have talked back to her (even though I think he did the right thing. The elf girl scolded him in front of a large crowd of students without knowing what really happened). In the end they both apologised at the same time and they’re back to being friends.
Fast forward to a few days, MC ends up in a class with the elf girl, some other student council people, disciplinary committee students AND the bastard Lucas. The teacher for the class had the students join in teams to fight one another in a match. Long story short, MC got injured trying to protect elf girl and had to go to the hospital/infirmary. MC’s parents and the elf kingdom people visited him to check on him. Elf girl introduces herself to MC’s parents. After everyone left, elf girl came back and asks MC if he could move. MC says he’s too injured to move and elf girl suddenly kissed him and ran away. (why tf are you forcing a kiss on someone who can’t move??????) MC then thinks about the whole thing and thought that he still sees elf girl as a child and he can’t think about dating anyone right now when his priority is keeping his family safe.
After a few days, elf girl and MC met again in a private training room thing and they talked about what happened. MC says he knew that the elf girl had feelings for him and rambled about how they’ve known each other since children and he can’t think of her as anything more.
Elf girl stood up to leave but before that she told the MC that he’s confident in everything that he does because he’s good at it, but he’s not good at confronting his own feelings. She says that in this regard, he is immature and insecure.
After the MC thought for awhile, I don’t know how tf he suddenly changed his mind. He suddenly admits that he isn’t good at relationships and he should go talk to the elf girl.
Basically he tells her that he’s not ready for a relationship right now. And the elf girl is like “right now?” And MC says “Maybe in the future?” Then MC gives a peck on her lips (ugh). I know she’s half joking, but the elf girl asks him if he thought she was going to wait for him because she’s quite popular. Elf girl also says something like “You say that so obviously like I’m going to wait for you. How do I know you’re not going to go off with some other girl?”
So that’s the romance part. The elf girl’s POV and internal monologue is so annoying to read. I dislike her.
If anyone is interested in reading this whole romance bullshit in the novel for yourself, it’s around chapter 50-ish to 60+

Yeah, from the first chapter that Tess was introduced in the Academy I didn't like the way it was going. Like how they described Art noticing she looked a lot more mature for her age than others despite still being a child... That's a yikes from me.
Off of topic but I'm also really not liking how almost every single girl Art interacts with starts to fall for him. Like I get he's the "cool good-looking mature guy" but it's ridiculous. Plus they keep bringing up how "good-looking" he is so damn often. And it doesn't help that his best friend is an oblivious woman loving boy who keeps mentioning how much better and more popular Art is compared to him. It's so annoying, I swear.

Seems like it’s a common trope with these kinds of reincarnation/isekai comics where all the girls around MC falls for him and the female characters are usually weak and annoying. Then comes the endless praising of the MC from literally every single person around him. I love OP MCs in comics but I don’t know why this particular one doesn’t appeal to me. There are other comics with OP MCs like Solo Leveling or Second Life Ranker where the MCs are lone wolves and don’t have women falling for them everywhere they go so it’s much more enjoyable to read.

The seme has 0 redeeming qualities, just an annoying prick who follows the uke 24/7 and non-stop persuading uke to be with him. Then seme tells some other guy some bullshit about the uke to save his own ass (this gets solved later with some bullshit explanation that doesn’t even makes sense: “pheromones”). After that, seme acts like he met his fated mate and is planning to marry him just to make uke jealous? And then suddenly in the end they’re all good. Like ???? I wasted my time reading this.

I’m currently on chapter 6 and I’m wondering if I should bother reading this story any further? So far I’m really not liking Jinsol and the chapter ended off with him kissing Han on purpose to show the MC? It’s really hard to keep reading with such a character in the story.
I guess what I’m asking is if I continue reading, will I hate Jinsol even more?

From the novel:
So Lexi (MC’s friend) finds out from the 3 girls who testified against the MC that Misono was threatening them and scaring them with some illusion magic thing and they were scared. But the 3 girls begged Lexi to save the MC and told her the truth. Then Lexi goes to find Schneider with Hansel and told him the truth and scolds him for being a stupid boy. Schneider finally realised the truth and is regretful. He goes to find MC’s grandpa to beg for forgiveness after realising he was wrong but the grandpa said something like “do you think my grandpa daughter is something that you can toss away and take back whenever you wish?”
Schneider then goes on the whole “not realising he lost the woman who loves him the most” shit and tries again to find information about MC’s whereabouts.
-
Anyways I hope Schneider does find the MC and the fluffy beast boys beat the shit out of him.
