I think Isabelle doesnt exist in the original novel. When I read it he went to Peruan's party only talking to the fiance and leaving to the tower alone.
Didn't really read the novel so can't say I'm sure but I saw someone in the comments mention that she was only shown at the start in the academy and was an unimportant character, so she never appeared again after that.
I only read the novel after Frey was in Peruan's house and didn't read the first chapter of the novel
